Jenny Krauss products are made according to fair trade guidelines. This means the artisans are paid a living wage, have a safe working environment, and are not exposed to workplace pollutants or toxins. Most of the artisans are women in poverty stricken rural areas with very few opportunities for employment. They usually work at home with their children playing nearby.

These photos were taken on Jenny's recent visits to Peru and Bolivia. These women represent a small portion of the over 800 women now employed weaving, sewing, and knitting. Over and over, they spoke of the importance of a steady income and the security it provides for their families.
